pic3.jpgAs many of you know, I’ve had a bit of facial hair for as long as I can remember. Well… I got home today after 4 weeks on the road speaking at different events and I decided to shave it off! Look here for the results – It may shock you!

Like I said, I shaved off my beard/goatee or whatever you want to call it. I’ve even chronicled the shave for a bit of fun.

Here’s the pic with me before the process began…

Here’s a pic of me HALF way through.

Here’s a pic before the big unveiling…

The final result – A clean shaven face!!

It’s time to vote – voice your opinion!.

    Yo Armand,
Missed you in Aus this time around, but I suppose there with always be another time…right?
On the mo/facial hair issue, I prefer pre-shaved Armand, he’s got a lot more mystery about him…(and i suppose at th eend of the day it’ll be up to your wife)
either way though like your work…
    Ciao Laurence

  2. Michel Fortin on June 23, 2006 at 1:15 am

Dang, I knew you weren’t Michael Lee Austin!

  3. Deb on June 23, 2006 at 2:24 am

You are always the consummate marketing genius – I love it! Not the shaving part… just the genius side of you.

And which side would that really be? I actually think that you should have two sides and left it half on and half off. That way when we look at you from one side you could be Armand Morin and looking at you from the other side you could be… none other than Michael Lee Austin!

Way to go Dude its nice to see you come out of the closet!

Yes or No? That is the question… I’m sure Marianna will be THE ONE to answer for all of us. Especially since we are all going to be “emailing” her now. (nice hat!)

Hang in there Marianna – you’ve got your hands full!

  4. humantorpedo on June 23, 2006 at 6:43 am

Definitely grow it back. I don’t look good with a goatee but I am not trying to live vicariously through you…no really…

You seriously look much better with it.

  5. James D. Brausch on June 23, 2006 at 10:43 am

I thought you were ugly under that thing. That’s why most people keep a beard for life.

Turns out you aren’t that ugly… you just look like a 14 year old boy!

    Looks great Armand!

    -James D. Brausch

  6. Robin Thompson on June 23, 2006 at 11:26 am

Well, speaking from a purely logistical standpoint. Do you know how hard it is going to be to swap out the 590,000 pictures(at last count)of you on the web?

  7. Tracy Childers on June 23, 2006 at 1:39 pm

    Wow, that’s pretty wild.

I’m thinking you should go with what Debra said, Keep half of it shaved and let the other half grow out.

Robin is right though about that many images of you on the internet. Then again, we could create a product called Image Swap Generator.

Thanks for sharing. By the way, I loved your post about the Art of Product Development being gone.

    Tracy Childers

  8. Will on June 23, 2006 at 3:52 pm

Great. After I tell people I think you look like Ricardo Antonio Chavira, you go and shave!

  9. Deb on June 23, 2006 at 6:49 pm

    Grow it back!

  10. George on June 24, 2006 at 12:09 pm

I think you should bleach your hair blonde! Maybe a mohawk would look good too!

  11. Cory Fossum on June 25, 2006 at 1:37 am

Grow it back – but before you do, experience the wonder that is stubble. Only shaving once or twice a week – and getting away with it because people just consider it your own cool look- is like the greatest freedom ever.

Except when you let it go for too long and then when you shave the electric razor kind of grabs and yanks at parts. That’s not so fun.

But that’s really the only downside.

    – Cory Fossum

  12. Tammy Ames on June 25, 2006 at 7:29 am

Your choice but you asked for opinions – to me, your beard was part of your branding. It made you different, looked great but your look was distinct enough to make you stand apart from the rest. Tammy

  13. Josh Brown on June 25, 2006 at 9:14 am

I say screw the beard/goatee and grow some handle bars. Big thick monster handle bars similar to that “Paul Senior” guy (American Chopper)!

  14. Frank on June 25, 2006 at 11:21 pm

quick ask campaign at home 100% – “Grow It Back!”

  15. Travis Campbell on June 26, 2006 at 3:07 am

Enjoy the smooth skin on your chin for a bit, but you’ll probably need to grow it back in time for the next Michael Lee Austin release.

  16. Rhea! on June 26, 2006 at 10:20 pm

Forget the beard, I want the hat. Hey, if I wear one just like it, will Marianna handle my customer support?

  17. Kay on June 26, 2006 at 10:47 pm

It just goes to show how much we’ve gotten used to you with it! You looked good without it…but we say grow it back – or try just growing the mustache back for starters. 🙂

  18. DJ Dave on June 27, 2006 at 11:36 pm

I love ya, man, but – no joke – my 5-year-old has literally grown up lovin’ the goatee, and she instantly cried when I told her you shaved it off.

    She won’t sleep…
    She won’t eat…
She says life isn’t worth living anymore…

Ok, none of that is true, but she did cry.
    So, what’s next….

    Jim Edwards in a suit?
    Michel Fortin with writer’s block?
    Ralph Zuranski without a camera?
Martin Wales with a bad hair day?
    (LOL – love ya all)

A nation cries with every sheared folicle…. 🙂
    – DJ Dave

  19. James Pohlner on June 28, 2006 at 5:13 am

You look cooler with a beard, i think you shoould grow it back.

  20. Christina Savage on June 28, 2006 at 3:12 pm

Without the beard you look at least 10 years younger. Which may not be a bad thing. However, I think you should keep it…probably because it would be weird seeing photos of you without it all over the web. It looks more sophisticated, if it’s trimmed right 😉

  21. Kendall on June 28, 2006 at 7:38 pm

Grow it back! It hides your double chin.

  22. Rangoo on June 29, 2006 at 2:38 am

I think the beard must be stealing precious time in maintenance. But I like the smile on your face more than your beard.

  23. Jim Greene on June 29, 2006 at 6:50 am

    Keep it off!

  24. Craig Perry on June 29, 2006 at 8:31 am

Grow it back mate, it reflected your personality.

  25. Ron Schmidt on June 29, 2006 at 4:20 pm

    Hey Armin,

Aren’t you Phil Helmuth’s brother? You know the fellow who plays professional poker on TV.

You’re certainly an absolute dead ringer for the “Poker Brat’s” brother.

Hmmm, perhaps dealing a little “Royal Flush” in a No-Limit Hold ‘Em game in Tahoe eh?

I’d like to see both of you astute gentlemen win and donate the chips to charity.

Who’s deal is it anyway? LOL

  26. Shannon on June 29, 2006 at 9:10 pm

Amazing how much of a difference a goatee makes.

    Grow it back and hurry!

  27. Jeanette on June 29, 2006 at 9:21 pm

I like the idea of Image Swap Generator. I would love to see that product, but I like the way you look best as I remember you. However, without a great professional shot of you dressed in a suit without the baseball cap, how can we judge what you’d look like?

    Do what makes you happy.

  28. Stu McLaren on June 29, 2006 at 9:37 pm

    This is perfect…

Now you can’t crack anymore jokes about me looking like I’m still in high school!!

You look like Michael Lee’s little brother 🙂

    Just kidding.

    Looks good.

  29. Athena on June 29, 2006 at 10:16 pm

Grow it BACK! Oh my God, you look 15 years OLDER without the beard! Forget what those other people are saying about looking younger without it. No way. You looked WAY better with the beard. You are much more handsome with it.

And as far as the professionalism goes, your face has much more presence WITH the beard. It also does show much more of your personality and character with it.

  30. David Cavanagh on June 30, 2006 at 12:11 pm

What are you doing man? hehehehe

This is like “Armand Morin Undressed”!

I think you look heaps younger now, but I suppose we all got used to your goatee.

All the best to you and Marianna my friend.

    David Cavanagh

PS… My wife is due at the end of September or first week of October… how far is Marianna from having the little one?

  31. Stephen Davies on June 30, 2006 at 7:37 pm

    Hey Armand!
I’ve been reluctant to post because I’m a avid supporter of Michel Fortin’s charity…

I say grow it back, but while you’re doing it, enjoy the five o’clock shadow that Alex Mandossian sees every morning in the mirror…

aaah, nothing like a scratchy face when you kiss your wife in the morning ;0)

By the way you and Alex did an awesome job at the “Customer Appreciation Seminar” — let’s do it again next year!

    Cheers ;0)

  32. Jeanette Cates on July 1, 2006 at 12:32 pm

I generally prefer clean-shaven, but how can you be Michael Lee without the hair? I’m afraid it will spoil your image!

I definitely recommend you grow it back before the next Big Seminar!

  33. Andrew Clacy on July 1, 2006 at 6:32 pm

    Hi Armand,

grow it back mate. Much cooler with it on. More sophisticated. Actually, I think I would leave the final vote to your wife, she is in the best position to judge…

  34. Ralph Zuranski on July 1, 2006 at 6:47 pm

    Hi Armand,

Check out your new pet at:
The tarantula likes your new look. He wants to be your new friend and pet. He doesn’t eat much and you look great with your new friend.

PS I gave Michel a pet cockroach. The new pets will have to battle it out to see who wins.

  35. J. D. Clement on July 1, 2006 at 6:55 pm

    Hey Armand,

I’m with the Grow It Back, group. Although I think Marianna may have the last and most important vote.

    J. D.

  36. Phil Huff on July 1, 2006 at 6:10 pm

No matter what any comments are I know you will grow it back. As a fellow goatee enthusiast I know from personal experience its just the right thing to due.

Grow the flavor saver back !

  37. Wade Thomas on July 1, 2006 at 6:18 pm

    Hey Armand,

I thought that you might look better without it, but I think you’re gonna get carded where ever you go – the movies, the bar, Las Vegas, etc…

I just checked with my wife, and she also thinks you should GROW IT BACK!!!! 🙂

So, I hope you…..GROW IT BACK!!!

    Take Care My Friend,

Wish I could be in Vegas with you next week!! ( wanna trade for a domain name 🙂 )

  38. Theresa Cahill on July 1, 2006 at 6:18 pm

I’m with everyone voting that a little mystery is a good thing 🙂

And I’m also with all those who said man you are the master at marketing and getting traffic to a blog LOL!

    All the best,

  39. Jay Jennings on July 1, 2006 at 6:27 pm

It was real jarring scrolling down and seeing the “real” you and then the imposter. My first thought was, grow it back.

But then I read all the comments and scrolled back up so that I saw the clean-shaven pic “first” — and I changed my mind. I think you look much friendlier without the facial hair. I say go with it this way!

PS – Despite what someone said up above, you may *not* get a mohawk. That’s taken. O=:)

  40. Mike on July 1, 2006 at 6:35 pm

    Grow it back dude!

  41. Brendon on July 1, 2006 at 6:36 pm

    Hi Armand,

    grow it back mate,

you got a head like a deep sea racing turtle!

  42. Keith on July 1, 2006 at 7:37 pm

NO NO say you won’t grow it back.

  43. Tim Erway on July 1, 2006 at 6:41 pm

You were a fur faced teddy bear, and now… I don’t even know who you are anymore.

    Grow it back dude!

  44. Andrew on July 1, 2006 at 6:44 pm

    Hi Armand,

I think you should grow it back.. Much cooler… I think you should also ask your wifw what see thinks, more important to please her than us!

keep up the good work mate,

  45. Jim O'Connor on July 1, 2006 at 6:53 pm

You look 10 years younger, but bring back Michael Lee!

  46. ARP Don on July 1, 2006 at 6:53 pm

    Hi Armand,

Definitely, GROW IT BACK! The goatee/beard-thing is part of your branding-the Armand, I know. Without it, you look like a kid who csn’t be a MARKETING GENIUS!

  47. Darrell Causey on July 1, 2006 at 6:53 pm

Grow it back man, grow it back!

  48. Heather on July 1, 2006 at 6:55 pm

Interesting. You look more mysterious with it, but you look young and fun without it. I think it would be hard to get used to the lack of the goatee, but I say do whatever makes you and Marianna happy. 🙂

  49. Billie A Williams on July 1, 2006 at 6:55 pm

Aw I love a man with facial hair – mystery, intrigue, latin – yeah put it back when you guys are done fooling around – although I will say bald is beautiful = )
Fun will be had by all! I commend you for your donation to the Breast Cancer Org.!

  50. Cynthia on July 1, 2006 at 6:56 pm

Well…. I must say that I prefer the pre-clean shaven Armand. However, Marianna’s vote is most important. No matter clean shaven or not the Armand we all know and respect will still be #1 in our book.

Will look forward to the outcome of the vote!

  51. Jim on July 1, 2006 at 6:58 pm

Gotta grow it back! Can’t take you seriously without it.

  52. Phil Weaver on July 1, 2006 at 7:01 pm

My vote is to grow it back, it looks much better.

  53. Rick Dearr on July 1, 2006 at 8:03 pm

I agree with Kevin, your beard is like your icon on all your sites. But after listening to Joel Bauer, I am considering shaving my beard as well.

  54. Larry on July 1, 2006 at 7:07 pm

I think you need to grow it back! Your goatee provides mystique and enhances your already remarkable personality. It went for a good cause, though!

  55. Anthony Tomei on July 1, 2006 at 7:08 pm

Armand, Dude… PUT IT BACK ON! LOL!

    Need some Elmer’s glue?

  57. Joe Chapon on July 1, 2006 at 7:10 pm

You are now ready to take on all the teens at SuperCamp! They would love it & the youthful you.
I like it. Change is good and the youthful look is in vogue.

  58. Marketing Mark Sinaguglia on July 1, 2006 at 8:10 pm

Wow Armand, you look like a whole new person.

I think you should grow it back. That was you, it was part of your branding.

People all over the world know who you are by your picture as well as your products.

You need to grow it back. Besides, those of us with beards etc have to stick together!!!

Either way, your still tops in my book. 🙂

Marketing Mark in Los Angeles, CA

  59. Lynda on July 1, 2006 at 7:18 pm

Put it back! Put it back!

  60. Sabrina on July 1, 2006 at 7:18 pm

Grow it back…You look like a little boy without it…

  61. Signe on July 1, 2006 at 7:19 pm

While you look fine without it (and, in general, I prefer clean-shaven faces), your beardless face has a soft round baby quality to it. It makes you look a great deal younger – practically post-pubescent. (Lordy! What’s Michael Lee going to do with you?)

I think your image requires your face fuzz because it gives your particular face gravitas, authority, and maturity. Hot damn!

So, be comfortable and clean-shaven kicking back in the summer sun but consider THE essential, sophisticated, kick-ass Armand Morin image for the Fall.

  62. Kevin "YourCompanyGoesHere.com" Mallory on July 1, 2006 at 8:23 pm

I like it as shown in the 50/50 picture. Half and half! Now there’s a real fashion statement.

  63. Brendon on July 1, 2006 at 7:25 pm

    Mate grow it back!

You got a head like a deep sea racing turtle..

    At least you won’t need a clown’s suit…

  65. Pete Silver on July 1, 2006 at 7:28 pm

Grow it back. I’ve had mine since July 2, 1969. It works (women LOVE it).
    Pete “MarketYourBusiness.com” Silver

  66. Mel Smith on July 1, 2006 at 7:28 pm

I think it needs to be grown back if your going to wear that hat. It makes you look younger without the Goatee.

  67. John Henley on July 1, 2006 at 7:34 pm

I have been a magician most of my life, and magician’s with beards, usually the goatee type, always looked the most mysterious.

It added character to your face, Armand, but it’s summer, and I guess it can be hot with a beard. It had become part of your “image”.

A friend of mine in real estate, regularly shaves it off for the summer and then grows it back for the winter, but then – it can be damn cold here in Canada!

Do I think you should have shaved it off? Not really, but hey, it’s not my beard and you may have other reasons for removing it.

  68. Sandy Dumont on July 1, 2006 at 7:35 pm

Grow it back; your face looks thinner. Without it the emphasis is on your eyebrows, so that they then look too heavy.
    Sandy Dumont
    The Image Architect

  69. Paul Cowen on July 1, 2006 at 7:42 pm

Definitely the goatee should stay methinks

I think the eyebrows should go too – that should get the blog going and make Fortin blubber like a baby or it may end up in an escalation of oneupmanship that makes the nuclear weapons embargo look small fry.

After all it’s for charity – I’ll put in $10 to see that! 🙂

    God Bless

    Tall Paul

  70. Jim Greene on July 1, 2006 at 7:43 pm

    Don’t grow it back…EVER.

  71. Connie on July 1, 2006 at 8:44 pm

I say leave the beard off, then try showing up at seminars and see if anyone recognizes you! We are so used to those gazillion photos of Armand with the beard – I like the change.

  72. Warren on July 1, 2006 at 7:45 pm

Grow It Back. Your face looks better with a frame. And yes, underline your nose too.

  73. studly on July 1, 2006 at 7:46 pm

    Change is good…

Keep shaking things up…dye your mullet jet white and get a mohawk….start dressing in hockey jerseys…internet marketers are fed up of the status quo…become the poster boy for time and financial freedom and rebellion!

  76. Kevin Davis on July 1, 2006 at 7:59 pm

    Hey Armand;

You without a goatee is a shocker. It does make you look younger, but I think you look more professional with it.

    I vote grow it back.

  77. Mauricio Martinez on July 1, 2006 at 9:02 pm

    Que Espanto!

  79. Mike Stewart on July 1, 2006 at 8:13 pm

Why you didn’t discuss this first with you dad really disappoints me. But I have to love the way you are.

    Love your dad.

you know if that little beard you had was a foot long like mine i’d say you had a big decision to make . but since yours was only a week or two to grow back you can always just play around and leave it off then put it back on – take it off – put on – no biggy ….
it’s all up to you . it’s about CHOICE – and the choice is YOURS no one elses . when you let someone else control your choices you are giving a bit of your power away .
i’m desperately looking for some internet success- haven’t had any .

  88. Stephen on July 1, 2006 at 8:47 pm

What a difference—I like it. I also had a mustache for most of my life up to a few years ago when I shaved it off.–I know the feeling 🙂
I’m still without it. It was starting to gray— I look better and younger without it.

  89. Raquel on July 1, 2006 at 8:51 pm

    Grow it back!

  90. Stephen on July 1, 2006 at 8:54 pm

  93. JJ Childers on July 1, 2006 at 9:13 pm

As your legal counsel, I must always be honest with you. There are just certain people who really ought to cover their faces with as much facial hair as possible. You must grow it back as quickly as possible. Use Rogaine if necessary. Just please, please cover that mug up!

  94. Sara Bailey Lamotte on July 1, 2006 at 9:13 pm

Ya know, Marianna’s father once agreed to do a musical, but the only catch was he had to shave his beard off for the role he wanted… He was fantastic as the representative for the colony of Maryland in “1776.”

Wonder if there’s more to this debate than meets the eye…

ANYWAY, my two cents’ worth is: grow it back! You just don’t look like yourself without the goatee. And by the way, why hasn’t Marianna weighed in here on the blog with her opinion?? (Or is she too busy answering email?) LOL =)

  95. Steve Suard on July 1, 2006 at 9:16 pm

My friend Armand, honestly, with or without it doesn’t matter since you’ve got great idea for your products. Now if I look at you on the picture I prefer you unshaved. Why, you should know, it’s written in your marketing tips: Brand a name, brand your product…. when people look at the yellow M (my 3 years son too knows it) they know that’s the famous burger Mc D….

So Armand Morin have always been unshaved and short hair cut (I suggest you to cut your hair like before too) on all your headers, products, seminars pictures….

Now if you want to retire like some hollywood stars, then live it shaved.

    Have a nice day.

  96. Jesse Troche on July 1, 2006 at 9:24 pm

    Hi Armand,
My name is Jesse and im from NJ.
I would like to say that even though i have never purchase a product from you i have been watching you for sometime and your marketing advances are very very good i like your style im just starting out and low on cash but there will be the day soon that i will launch my new site and get some of you products …and oh yea the matter at hand here sorry….LOL

I think you look better with the beard and goatee why?

Well i kind of listen to woman and there ideals and how the percive things in sales and stuff alot i also have a goatee but i sure dont look like Michael Lee Austin but i’ll tell you they all tell me the same thing, i look more handsome with it and they always throw in that it feels tickly and they like it that way
Get it…;-) So thats good enough for me …

Grow it back! You look more professional!!

  103. Den on July 1, 2006 at 10:35 pm

Don’t understand why anyone would want to scrape their facial skin, or any part of it, with a sharp metal object or machine every day, so I think you should grow it back or even go to a full beard, but what is most important is what YOU want.

  104. Chesa on July 1, 2006 at 10:36 pm

Men should have facial hair. And believe me, facial hair is easier on the woman’s face than a shaved face — always that scratchy new growth to deal with.

Better with a beard. Please grow it back.

  105. Sylvain Lagace on July 1, 2006 at 11:51 pm

    Look like someone else
Let me sometime to sit back and relax…

Let your goatee grow it back it’s better this way.

  106. Marialle on July 1, 2006 at 10:54 pm

Grow it back Armand! You look better with your goatee. Besides, you remind me of my son who can’t live without his goatee…hehehe.

The goatee adds nobility and dignity to your over-all look especially when wearing a suit.

  107. Pat Rowan on July 1, 2006 at 11:01 pm

I like the way you look with it, however you should do whatever makes YOU happy.

  108. Diana Seacord on July 1, 2006 at 11:11 pm

You are the only man I like WITH facial hair.
    Grow it back.

  109. Emily on July 2, 2006 at 12:23 am

I think you should grow it back. It helps balance your face, unlike MY goatee which just makes me look weird. It grows faster than I can pluck it and I’m not willing to live with a five oclock shadow from shaving. After all, a five oclock shadow isn’t very feminine.

  110. Glenn M. Eades on July 1, 2006 at 11:46 pm

I don’t normally get involved in these things, however, to me the difference is so distinct and obvious that I’ve got to weigh in on the matter here. The moustache and goatee convey a very strong sense of maturity and professionalism that the look without them does not.

While I realize that this may simply be some sort of publicity stunt to get folks to respond, and perhaps you intend to grow the facial hair back in any case. If so, then you got me…

However, if you’re really not sure of any reason to return to the goatee/moustache look, I will offer this: I believe it enhances your personal image, and is a more sophisticated look.

I can only hope you consider these aspects seriously…

  111. Pat O'Bryan on July 2, 2006 at 12:51 am

    the half-way pic…

And, if you can remember which profile to show, you can deal with that split personality issue.

Grow it back! It’s part of your unique brand. Without it, you’re just another handsome man.

Grow it back. It’s your branding. However I do agree we need to see you in a suit to really compare the look.

You could always create Instant Goateee Generator, but Marianne gets to control whether the goatee is on or off as she sees fit!

Of course the half & half looks cool too. Just match it with the sunburn from Close Encounters and you’ll have a look nobody can forget. 🙂

As a fellow beard-wearer I would have to say grow it back.

On a financial level, how much is it gonna cost to have all your websites and promo work redone!

As as for “personal branding” – don’t even go there. You could go to the next Big Seminar and nobody would notice!!

  122. Luis Q on July 2, 2006 at 4:52 am

Hi Armand, I believe you looks 100% better with out it, also people like to see a clean face and clean shaved, when keeping the goatee, it does not matter how much you wash the face, it deos not look to clean, now no offence please, it is just my opinion,.
you looks more clean and young, more Kind and friendly.

    Hey Armand

Grow it back man! I don’t know what you look like without the baseball cap, but I reckon you’d look like an old guy tryin’ to look young!

Seriously , the goatee was kinda part of your branding man … I’m not sure you have the same gravitas without it

  128. Cindy on July 2, 2006 at 7:36 am

  129. Dave on July 2, 2006 at 8:03 am

There’s no question about it. Grow it back. It is what gives you the Armand look. The man behind Internet scene. Without it you look like everyone else’s.

Keep your “trademark” and tell Michel that as age increases, he may not have his hair, but you will still have your goatee. 🙂

  139. Maverick on July 2, 2006 at 10:08 am

I prefer you with the beard. With it, you look as you should, from a business standpoint. You tend to lose the business/mature look without it. Just one directors opinion.

  142. Heather Parsons on July 2, 2006 at 12:05 pm

Bill and I had been together for 9 years and I had only ever known him with his goatee. He got a wild hair one day and decided to shave it off. OH MY GOODNESS was I anxious for the hair to grow back! He just didnt look right without the goatee. People didnt want to take him seriously because him with a clean face just didnt look right. Grow it back, it makes you who you are IMHO. Now of course he still shaves his head, says he’s much cooler without all the hair up there. So maybe thats your answer. Grow back the goatee and shave your head.

  143. Fred Evans on July 2, 2006 at 12:30 pm

  147. Gayle Carson on July 2, 2006 at 1:38 pm

I like you with everything believe it or not. Usually I like a clean shaven man, but not with you! It gives you some flair.

    Turn back that clock.

  149. Susan on July 2, 2006 at 3:04 pm

I think the only opinion that counts is your wifes, if you have one. My personal opinion, is that you look older with it and younger without it. I also posted it on Jeffs site about your dilema. But seriously, like I said before, some will like some wont, some will note what I have already noted, but in the end, its really all up to you now, isn’t it, that is unless you have a wife, then, well you know. Good luck, Susie

Men with goatees outweigh men without any day. Cool stunt but grow it back babe.

  152. Lisa on July 2, 2006 at 4:15 pm

By all means GROW IT BACK!

    To Your Hair Growth Success,

  153. Lois on July 2, 2006 at 4:14 pm

    How about losing the
    moustache and bringing back
    the goatee?

  154. Barbara on July 2, 2006 at 4:33 pm

Real men are clean shaven. Don’t grow it back. You are a hottie without it!

FURTHERMORE, I don’t trust men with beards, mustaches, goatees, or whatever it’s called. When I deal with a man, I want to READ his face and all that vegetation hides who he really is.

FURTHERMORE, since we all know men are not the tidiest of God’s creatures, facial hair is a health hazard. When you see a mess of gross hair on a guy’s face you have to wonder if it’s harboring the remains of last year’s turkey gravy. Or worse. 🙂

  155. Carolyn Perry on July 2, 2006 at 5:07 pm

The facial hair does make you look very dignified and distinctive. Without it, your visual branding may take a temporary “hit”, but your name already is well known.
Just send out a picture reflecting you decision so that I do recognize you next time I see you. Here is to whatever choice you and your wife make! Kudos for your charitable efforts.
    Best regards, Carolyn

  156. Kathy Mason on July 2, 2006 at 5:07 pm

  159. Brian Banashak on July 2, 2006 at 6:11 pm

    Hello Armand,

It will take some getting used to, but this is a kinder, gentler Armand. The goatee looks sinister. Thanks for shaving it. I’ve wanted to tell an associate he needs to shave his. Now I have proof.

Your support of charity is commendable. See you’re already getting less sinister! 🙂

  160. Greg on July 2, 2006 at 7:16 pm

Armand, I must say you need to get that GO T back as soon as possible! :))

    Good luck,

  161. Valerie Sherrod on July 2, 2006 at 6:34 pm

You have a look of distinction with the goatee, a look that says let’s do business. You can’t measure a man by his beard, but you can measure a man without his beard (whatever sense that makes). With that said,GROW IT BACK PLEASE!

  162. Lynn on July 2, 2006 at 6:36 pm

Armand – you’re a handsome devil but gotta say that goatee is the best on you so ABSOLUTELY grow it back. You are the king of cool with it and all the more delectable.
Gotta stay suave, debonair and cool when you’re the reigning king of the internet – right? That’s MY vote!

  163. Andy Wibbels on July 2, 2006 at 7:52 pm

  164. Hannes Johnson on July 2, 2006 at 8:36 pm

    Grow it back… QUICK!

  166. John Abbott on July 2, 2006 at 10:08 pm

    Hi Armand,

You’ve gotten LOTS of interesting comments! My 2 comments would be: 1)I used to have a beard and shaved it off because IT became grey and it made me look older! You are CLOSE to the age I was when I shaved mine off!

2)You would have to CHANGE all of those pics that are ALL OVER the net!

And my BONUS comment reflects what a few others have said, beards DO cover up double chins! Your goatee was trimmed so perfectly that it did make you look very distinguished!

I applaud that you and Michael are doing this to raise awareness and money to FIGHT cancer! That is a WONDERFUL thing, so keep up the GOOD work-no matter what you decide to do about the beard!

  167. Carol on July 2, 2006 at 10:40 pm

Reminds me of a funny story. My ex-husband had a mustache….that was the only face I knew. One morning he was getting ready for a trip, came into the living room all dressed in his uniform (He was a pilot with Delta, and leaving on a 4 day trip.) WEll, what a shock! It was his voice, but it came from this strange face! He said, “Well, how do you like the new me?” And then left! I worried for 4 days if I would love the “new me.” I mean, it didn’t even remotely resemble the familiar face I knew. And no, that’s not what caused the divorce!

THe point? It doesn’t look like you, and, I’m sure we would get used to it if you decide to remain clan shaven. My vote? I like the beard. 🙂

  168. Ed on July 2, 2006 at 10:47 pm

Yep, grow it back. It gave you charactor, set you apart fron the crowd, it was an inexpensive accessory, it emitted brains and braun, masculinity, confidense, and a positive attitude.

Keep it off, much nicer, looked old and scruffy the old way. Cleaner and more handsome now.

  173. Ray on July 3, 2006 at 2:45 am

I think the beard should be asked how it’s getting on now that your face has been seperated from it. Has it lost it’s sense of purpose? Does it feel lonely or liberated? Is it difficult to get a seat in a decent restaurant? Life can be tough for a beard when it doesn’t have a famous face behind it. Shame on you for treating your faithful beard in such a heartless way. I am moved to open up a refuge where discarded beards can live out the remainder of their lives in peace and dignity ( no more bread crumbs or spaghetti sauce to be teased out every morning ) but hey, that takes money, so all donations please to …

  197. CaptainLou.com on July 5, 2006 at 9:31 am

    Hey Armand,

First of all, Michel claimed victory a bit early, with his 81 comments when you had just over 30. But, since I am your 200th comment, I think YOU are the CLEAR winner!

Now, as far as MY vote, I downloaded Rich’s FACIAL HAIR MANIFESTO to determine the strategy and scalability of my own goatee.

It seems I’ve been an Opportunist when it came to my beard, when I should have been an Entrepreneur. THEN, I would have been prepared for it turning WHITE by age 46.

I’m even doing an A/B Split-Hair test on my own blog and have gone from the Armand style goatee to just mustache and “little flavor savor” under the bottom lip.

Would you believe the majority of MY fans have voted for me to chop my ENTIRE head off?!!

Anyway, I’m sure by this time you’ve realized that without the facial hair, you look like a scarier version of Joel Christoper! (Promise you won’t start wearing tagalog shirts)

P.S. Great hanging with you and Alex in Orlando. The Customer Seminar ROCKED.

Besides, it’s part of your image and you don’t want to swap trademarks in mid-stream. Didn’t work for any of the corporate giants and it won’t work for you!

Try just the mustache and then try just the goat to realize. . . gee man, you need them both!
    Good Luck.

  202. Ryan on July 6, 2006 at 1:17 pm

You should definitely grow it back, you look much better with it than without!

  203. Jerome Eastman on July 6, 2006 at 4:49 pm

I’ve had a beard for over thirty five years and my wife told me she would leave if I ever shaved it off. I think she was right and I sympathise with your wife. Grow it back! Better yet paint one on until it does grow!

  204. Sarah on July 6, 2006 at 8:27 pm

I love hair on a man’s face – as long as its groomed, trimmed, and not so long that you can braid it, or if you can’t see anything but the eyes. So, I gotta say – GROW IT BACK! …and yes, it is indeed your trademark!

  205. Birt on July 6, 2006 at 8:42 pm

The choice is totally yours but I would grow it back

  206. Steve on July 8, 2006 at 11:35 am

Yes, grow it back. It’s your trademark.

  207. Mary Ghering on July 8, 2006 at 12:10 pm

    Hi Armand,

Sporting a beard is a great way for facial recognition. It’s your trademark so to speak. Bring it back. Love the work you’re doing. Read all your emails. Thanks

  208. Nabil Chaouche on July 10, 2006 at 11:02 am

    Grow it back Arman.

There are too much photos of you on the net. It will take a long time before you can update them.

  209. Jackie on July 11, 2006 at 8:53 am

    Grow it back!

    Hi Armand,

Glad to have met you in Kuala Lumpur in May.

I think you should grow it back, but make it thinner and tidier all around. That should make you look younger as well (i’m guessing that’s the intention of the shaving ordeal) yet retain your image.

    Good luck!

  211. Cassandra on July 11, 2006 at 7:20 pm

Grow it back. You look great with it.

  212. Marlene on July 13, 2006 at 8:32 pm

Men have more sex appeal with hair on their faces. Please grow the hair back!!

  213. Steven on July 14, 2006 at 9:51 am

    Hi Armand,

I do miss you as well. Thanks for the great sharing in KL AIMS bootcamp.

Well, I prefer grow it back.. The “baby face” doesn’t look like a great Internet GURU nor Country Singer… ahahahah………

  214. Sara Bailey Lamotte on July 15, 2006 at 10:58 am

I just showed the photos to Stephane, and he agrees – definitely grow it back. He says without your goatee you’ve lost your “latin” look/edge (and coming from a latin-blooded Frenchman, that carries some weight). =)

  215. C on July 17, 2006 at 2:34 am

    vote: grow.

  216. Lou D'Alo on July 18, 2006 at 6:00 am

HEY! Who is that clean-shaven guy and what did he do with Armand?

    I’m calling John Walsh…

  217. Ric on July 22, 2006 at 2:31 am

Grow it back, it just doesn’t look like you without it! Unless you WANT to go around looking like somebody’s kid brother.

  218. Jewels Marshon on July 25, 2006 at 10:17 am

Well Armand…how do you feel with it shaved off? If you like then keep it this way…if you don’t grow it back!

My personal opinion really doesn’t matter!
But since you asked…the hair adds some flair and distinction to your look.

  219. Sheila on July 27, 2006 at 8:26 pm

You’re handsome either way, but I prefer the beard.

btw, does this mean you’re going to follow Joe Vitale’s example and offer all of the products with your bearded pic at a discount? hehe

Hope you win the “comments” contest. I love your products, and your sense of humor.

  220. ivan galjar on August 8, 2006 at 3:30 am

    Dude…please grow it back.
Whether in Atlanta Georgia or from downunder in Melbourne Australia, it still looks bad.
    Grow it back.
    Boy, do you look different!!!

  221. Kim on August 10, 2006 at 12:57 pm

Of course you look great either way, but c’mon, the goatee is definitely part of your brand. Plus even though I generally don’t prefer facial hair on men, I have to say that it looks great on you.

  222. Craig on August 11, 2006 at 10:38 pm

I’ve always known of you with hair so without it, you just don’t look like the one and only Armand Morin… But it’s really up you 🙂

  223. Nick Hetcher on August 29, 2006 at 10:17 am

    U da man either way.

    Hi Armand,

If you haven’t already done so . . . grow it back and act your age! Seriously you looked more professional when you did your presentation at Wembley several months ago (wearing the beard)!

Best wishes to you and the family,

    Brian Simms

  225. Nicole Bird on October 2, 2006 at 9:46 pm
