Presidential Elections Are All About Marketing

election-2008 Presidential Elections Are All About MarketingI’ve been watching the process of the U.S. Presidential elections. It’s interesting to watch all the people try to win the vote of Americans. The marketing strategies have been vast and the Internet has certainly played an important role in the outcomes so far.

The Biggest Politcal Marketing Move Was Left Untouched!

The Republican candidates were invited to a debate on Fox News last Sunday. Fox News chose NOT to invite Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter. This has caused a major stir especially with Ron Paul fans. They have been literally bombarded Fox with protests and mass emails being sent to them.

But…

The fact that Fox News chose NOT to include these two gentleman could have been used as a major political move by one of the other candidates.

If one of them would have simply refused to appear siting it was UNFAIR since the other two candidates were not invited, they would have won major points and support from a large number of people. This is not even mentioning the amount of press they would have received as a result in doing so.

Google Predicts Primary Winners with 30% Accuracy!

If you’ve read here recently. I posted a post titled “Can Google Predict The Iowa Caucus Winners?” well the results are in and Google is batting at about 30%.

According to CNN the results for the Democrats are:

1.) Barack Obama
2.) John Edwards
3.) Hillary Clinton
4.) Bill Richardson
5.) Joe Biden

On the other hand, Google DID NOT choose any right for the Republicans. So as my friend Jeanette Cates said, “Is Google a Democrat?” Hmmm?

I’m going to do the test again before the New Hampshire primaries and see if Google out do itself. Although, 30% is not too shabby. Maybe I should have done some online betting.

I think the real question is… What can YOU use Google Trends for? I’m going to have to do a video on this real soon. I think once you realize the power of Google Trends, you’ll use it a lot more.

JibJab - In 2007 Video

This was hilarious. I saw this morning on the news.

Can Google Predict The Iowa Caucus Winners?

I was playing around with Google Trends and I had this cool idea. Let’s see if Google can predict the Iowa Caucus winner.

I entered in 5 candidates from each party. So I entered Ron Paul, Mit Romney, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and Mike Huckabee. Here’s the results for the Republicans first.

I set Google trends to only show me searches done in Iowa for the past year.

googlepoll4 Can Google Predict The Iowa Caucus Winners?

1. Ron Paul
2. Mike Huckabee
3. John McCain
4. Rudy Giuliani
5. Mit Romney

For the Democrats I entered in Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Joe Biden, and Dennis Kucinich. I just chose 5 people since that’s all I’m allowed.

Here’s the Democrat results.

googlepoll3 Can Google Predict The Iowa Caucus Winners?

Strangely enough. None of the Democrats had enough searches in the last year in Iowa to give as accurate results. But we do have a number here.

1. Barack Obama
2. John Edwards
3. Hillary Clinton
4. Joe Biden
5. Dennis Kucinich

Well tomorrow we’ll know how Google is at predicting elections.

World’s Top Internet Marketer… Ron Paul?

ronpaul2 Worlds Top Internet Marketer... Ron Paul?I’ve been meaning to write about this for some time but Seth Godin beat me to it with his post, Marketer of the year 2007. Seth says it’s tie between Barack Obama and Ron Paul.

I disagree, Ron Paul is absolutely the undisputed winner.

Let’s look at the facts.

  • He raised $4+ Million Dollars in one day
  • Raised $6+ Million Dollars on another day
  • Raised nearly $20+ Million Dollars in the 4th quarter of 2007
  • Just in the past month there has been over 82,000 blog posts about him, according to Google.
  • According to YouTube, there are 81,900 videos about him currently probably more by the time you read this.
  • He has built a following which surpasses anything I’ve personally seen on the Internet.
  • His hundreds of thousands of followers are fanatical to say the least.
  • His online campaign puts any Internet Market to shame.

I’m not posting this to be political. I’ld much rather keep my political beliefs to myself.

I do want you to understand how much power the Internet truly has if you can harness just a small portion of it as Ron Paul’s campaign has done exquisitely.

One of the key points to understand and I think A.L. Williams stated, “You Must Have A Crusade”. I couldn’t agree more about your business and certainly your life.

No matter if Ron Paul wins or not, he has certainly proven the Power of The Internet is nothing to be taken lightly.

The 300 = Great Products

300blog The 300 = Great Products

I was watching the movie “The 300″ last night. I think that’s one movie I really can’t get sick of. It’s not that I love fight movies or that I like watching half naked men with swords. I don’t. What I love about this movie is the scenario. 300 men fighting off thousands of thousands of people. It’s the true underdog story.

Isn’t that how many of us feel in running our own business? Especially on the Internet. Let’s think about this. We are in a medium where we are literally competing with the biggest companies in the world for the EXACT SAME MONEY.

Whether you want to believe it or not, you are competing directly head to head with Amazon, Microsoft, and yes even Google and a thousands upon thousands of other online businesses. Your objective is to get the prospects dollar instead of them. Seems overwhelming doesn’t it?

So what do you do? How do you compete in one of the most competitive times and mediums in history? It’s really quite simple. You must create GREAT PRODUCTS. I didn’t say OK products. I said GREAT PRODUCTS.

The best word of mouth happens when someone purchases your product and it is so good that they HAVE TO tell someone else about it. Not that they want to they HAVE TO, because your product has over delivered beyond their wildest belief. They just can’t keep it to themselves. Do you see what I mean?

I’m in the final stages of one of the biggest products I have ever created. In fact, I believe it is the biggest product any marketer has ever created. Well over 55 hours long and 900+ pages of BRAND NEW Internet Marketing Information. It’s called Internet Marketing Explained.

I didn’t just spend a few weeks on this. I’ve spent over a year developing and finalizing this product. Why? I want people to HAVE TO tell others about it. This is the MOST COMPLETE course EVER DEVELOPED on the subject of INTERNET MARKETING.

You’ll have to stay tuned for more details of our OFFICIAL LAUNCH ON JANUARY 18TH. You won’t want to miss this. We’ve been getting RAVE REVIEWS just for our pre-launch videos at our blog. Check it out it’s free!
